5 d - Oakland Ca ?.

#wekinfolk family! I came across this post and it literally made me smile. I am not sure who this AMAZING MAN is but, once I get his information I will be supporting him. It's acts of kindness like this that really warms my heart. I was a single mom raising a male child, with the help of the Boys Club, his football, basketball, baseball coaches and teachers all mentored and help me raisea fine young Black Man. With their help my son received a full ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP. I am a proud mama of a TSU Houston graduate of 1998. He graduated with dual degrees. Structural engineering and Mathematics. I share this to say, without the community, I believe my child would have became a victim of Oakland's mean streets. I will definitely come back and share his contact information if you would like to reach out to the teacher. #wekinfolk #blackexcellence #blackbusiness #shopblack

Sovereign?

When I minister on the goodness of God, the authority He has given to believers, the power of His promises, healing, and blessings, there are often those who resist. Many times the first words out of their mouths are: “Well, you know God is sovereign.” I immediately know that this person has been indoctrinated into the traditions of men and has not truly accepted the revelation of God through Jesus. They haven't accepted the words of Jesus, the finished work of the cross, or the revelation of His will and purposes for His children. They don’t understand the New Covenant.

The “God is Sovereign” bag is something of a theological black hole in which any promise of God can be tossed and written off as, “subject to God’s mysterious whims”. Verses from Job are exalted over the clear teachings of Jesus. There seems to be a veil over the hearts of many who have been seduced into not believing God.

Jesus never told the sick that they would be healed when they got to heaven. He healed them and told us to do the same. Why is that so threatening? Because the traditions of men are powerless, and they know it.

Let’s take Jesus at His Word. ““The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:1

Your Future is in Your Heart

We can have faith to just get through the moment, or we can have faith to create a new future. The difference is vision. Some can only see one day at a time. Others see the possibilities that can be created through faith filled words and actions. A seed in the hand of a visionary carries unlimited harvests. In the hand of another it could be tossed in the trash. Vision determines the future.

“things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Heb. 11:3)

The present “things” of our lives such as the circumstances, limitations, hardships or successes, were brought into a visible reality by means of thoughts, attitudes, words and actions. The future things of our lives will appear in the same way.

Yes, other people and circumstances play a part, but much of what we have become is the visible result of the invisible faith or fear in our hearts. How we approach life sets the stage for our futures. Fear, anxiety, doubt and self-centeredness will bring a harvest of misery. If the vision of our hearts is positive, faith filled, and full of joy and love, our futures will be blessed.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things. (Mt. 12:35)

Your future is in your heart! Your vision determines your future! Future circumstances, opportunities, blessings, victories, healings and successes are residing in your heart right now! Rather than believing to just get by another day, why not discover and release God’s provision into your future? Meditate on, speak and act on His promises. Sow His seeds of grace into others. Lift up your eyes! God’s grace is waiting for you. The choice is yours.
