Industrial Espionage is one of those Arc Raiders jobs that sounds simple until you are halfway there and realise you left the wrong gear in your pack. If you are working through Tian Wen's questline, you will want to keep your ARC Raiders Items sorted before you head out. The task itself is pretty direct, but the game gives you just enough room to mess it up if you rush.

You only need one thing for the run: a normal Burletta, sitting in your inventory. Not equipped. Not modified. Just there. That part catches people out all the time, because it feels harmless to swap weapons on the way in, then the quest refuses to register later. Once you have the right one, make for the Gas Station in the northern Buried City Outskirts. The spot is not hard to miss once you know what you are looking for, but if you wander around too long, you will probably start second-guessing yourself.

What the quest actually needs

Before you go, it helps to keep the whole thing in your head without overcomplicating it. Players usually fail this quest for small reasons, not because the objective is hard. Keep it clean and you will be fine.

• Pick up the quest from Tian Wen after finishing Eyes on the Prize
• Carry an unmodified Burletta in your inventory
• Do not equip the Burletta at any point
• Head to the Gas Station POI in the northern Buried City Outskirts

At the Gas Station, look for a rusted container near a wrecked transport vehicle. That is the interaction point. Walk up, deposit the Burletta, then interact again to plant the bug. It is quick, which is nice, because nothing about the area feels like a safe place to linger. Once the bug is placed, the quest is done. You do not need to extract for it to count, so there is no reason to stay and force a risky extra fight.

Small mistakes that waste the run

This is the part players talk about afterwards, usually after they have already lost the weapon and need another trip. A lot of the frustration comes from tiny habits. You swap to the Burletta for one second, forget it is modified, or bring the wrong version from your stash. Then you are stuck.

• Do not sell or drop the weapon before reaching the container

• Do not overthink the route once you reach the Gas Station area
