BLACK SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM:  WEKINFOLK

Living Unfiltered: A Safe Space to Speak

Our Why

Black voices have been censored and shadow banned on many mainstream social media platforms. We have been restricted to modulating our voices, adjusting to fit what others seem as ‘normal’ or what feels ‘comfortable’ to others. This has led to feeling marginalized and a general loss in great black speakers who want to highlight our struggles and build kinship and a sense of community in us.

Because of this, there’s a need for a platform where Black people can express themselves, talk about issues that matter, build support, and foster a strong black community.

WeKinFolk is a black social media platform built to celebrate, not censor, black culture and community. We are a black-owned social media platform creating a safe place for black social networking that celebrates black culture.

Our Offer

WeKinFolk is 100% Black-owned and unapologetically pro-Black. Our urban social media is a social space where your posts won’t be flagged, policed, or buried for being too real. This is one of the biggest problems we started this platform to address.

Being black is bold, expressive, proud, and deep. We are multifaceted and complex with a powerful drive to thrive, even through adversity,

This social platform is built for open, uncensored expression of everything from cultural pride to political thought, art, lifestyle, and daily life. Here, you can post freely about everything black, being judged, penalized or even blocked—no shadow bans, no jail, no silencing.

Who This Platform is For

As a black social media platform celebrating urban culture, this platform is built for;

  • Black men, women, teens, elders, and everyone in between (ages 13–80).
  • Allies and supporters who love and respect Black culture.
  • Creators, thinkers, and everyday people who want to connect without changing who they are.
  • Anyone who’s tired of code-switching, censorship, or being tokenized.

Black people have had to minimize their shine for too long. This platform exists to polish and highlight the unique characteristics that make us ‘Black and Proud’.

Our Mission & Vision

At WeKinFolk, our mission is to empower Black voices everywhere by creating a social media platform that celebrates the richness of Black life and identity. We’re committed to elevating and preserving urban Black culture without compromising on freedom.
